A METHOD FOR ORGANIZING CONTACTS BUSINESS CARDS

The very first thing I do when I receive someone's business card is write on the back when and where we met, their business if it isn't apparent from their business name, married, number of children etc. and any other pertinent information I might have gleaned from speaking to them.
I used to keep my business cards in a show box or on my desk but after losing and misplacing some and wasting time searching I have come up with a method that works for me.
I have several file type drawers that used to hold cassette tapes and that is where I now file my business cards. One drawer is exclusively for DS/MLM companies and those I have filed alphabetically by the company name as I thought if I forgot the reps name I could always find the rep by looking under the company name.
None DS/MLM business cards I have filed alphabetically by the person's last name, if I have two cards then one is filed under the person's name and the other under the company. If I don't have a business card I can always fill out an index card with their information and file it.
I also have people's information in my address book in my computer those are mostly people from groups that I have met and joined online. Any business groups, networking groups and other associations I belong to I file all those business cards under the group/association name.
I hate filing which is the reason for so many years I never used a proper system to file business cards but this one is working for me. If you don't have any cassteete tape drawers in your house look for them at garage/yard sales. I hope this helps, you have to find a method that works best for you and you might try a couple before one clicks.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STRESS & DISEASE

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STRESS AND DISEASE. Why we should hang out with our girlfriends.

WOW! They Teach this at Stanford.  It's long, but please read on!

In an evening class at Stanford, the last lecture was on the mind-body
connection - the relationship between stress and disease. The speaker
(head of psychiatry at Stanford) said, among other things, that one of
... the best things that a man could do for his health is to be married
to a woman, whereas for a woman, one of the best things she could do
for her health was to nurture her relationships with her girlfriends.
At first everyone laughed, but he was serious.

Women connect with each other differently and provide support systems
that help each other to deal with stress and difficult life
experiences. Physically this quality “girlfriend time" helps us to
create more serotonin - a neurotransmitter that helps combat
depression and can create a general feeling of well being.

Women share feelings whereas men often form relationships around
activities. They rarely sit down with a buddy and talk about how they
feel about certain things or how their personal lives are going. Jobs?
Yes. Sports? Yes. Cars? Yes. Fishing, hunting, golf?
Yes. But their feelings? Rarely.

Women do it all of the time.. We share from our souls with our
sisters/mothers/cousins/girlfriends and evidently that is very good for our health. He
said that spending time with a friend is just as important to our
general health as jogging or working out at a gym.

There's a tendency to think that when we are "exercising" we are
doing something good for our bodies, but when we are hanging out with
friends, we are wasting our time and should be more productively
engaged—not true. In fact, he said that failure to create and
maintain quality personal relationships with other humans is as
dangerous to our physical health as smoking!

So every time you hang out to schmooze with a gal pal, just pat
yourself on the back and congratulate yourself for doing something
good for your health! We are indeed very, very lucky. Sooooo… let's
toast to our friendship with our girlfriends.. Evidently it’s very
good for our health.

Thanks to all the ladies in my life who have helped me stay healthy, happy and feeling very loved.

Life isn't about surviving the storm; but how you dance in the rain.

Forward this to all your girlfriends – and stay in touch with them.

THE ''PRODUCT'' OR ''SERVICE'' CALLED YOU

You are Always Selling!  Whether it is you, an organization or a business – you are always selling, branding and marketing!  On a conscious and unconscious level we are always representing “who we are” and those who we associate with and work with; this can easily be used as an opportunity or if ignored can be  an “extreme” negative” type of communication – today everything we do is about how we do things, what we are, who we are, why we do what we do?  Predominantly people deal with people ~ always have and always will.

Today the large corporations are more known by who runs them, who is the face of the company and who owns them – are they vested, are they involved in charities, what are their beliefs and demands about the how they want the customer experience to be!
We all want the same things:
  • Value for our dollar
  • Value for our time
  • Respect for who we are
  • To be treated as equals
  • To be communicated with as an individual
  • This isn’t rocket science, not something that was just invented, does not require a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, does not require 30 years life experience.
An old yet simple way to put sales into perspective:
If you could afford to, would you buy me?
Yes, ME.    Would you buy me?
Now, no matter what your answer was, think about this.
What if YOU were a product or service?  Who would buy you?  Why?
Keep it simple – whether you are on the sales and marketing end or the consumer end – we constantly sell to each other – the system of bartering is still alive and well in just about everything we do in life!
Sounding redundant but required:  People do business with people. They prefer to work with people they know, like and respect. And because business is always about people, the one thing you are always selling is the PERSON behind the business. The ‘product’ or ‘service’ called…YOU!

THE VALUE OF WORKING WITH A MORTGAGE EXPERT

THE VALUA OF WORKING WITH A MORTGAGE EXPERT

You would never consider leaving a major decision about your health in the hands of a doctor who only practiced medicine as a part-time job. So why would you leave the decision of purchasing or refinancing a home - likely the largest financial decision of your life - in the hands of anyone but a professional mortgage broker?
When selecting a mortgage advisor, you want to make sure that you ask them some basic questions before deciding to work with them. Remember, there are lots of eagar and willing mortgage providers who are able to offer outstanding service and advise.

Be sure to treat this as an interview where you ask these basic questions to ensure you are dealing with someone who has your best interests in mind.
1) How long have you been a mortgage broker for and how many mortgages do you place a year?
2) Where do you generate your business from? (if a mortgage provider tells you that their business is based on client referrals and repeat business that shows they are clearly doing a good job!)
3) What institutions do you work with? ( ideally a mortgage provider will work with several lenders so that they can provide you with the best options that suit your individual needs)
4) What sorts of economic factors help determine interest rates? (if a mortgage broker can not answer this question for you, they should not be qualified to be guiding you though the process.)
5) What is happening in the market currently and what do you see happening in the future?
6) Do you know of any programs that allow me to reduce my personal income taxes though the mortgage?
7) Can you provide an accurate idea of all costs that will be associated with the mortgage? (While our service is completely free, a mortgage provider should be able to provide you with a very good estimate of the closing cost, such as lawyers, CMHC, land transfer fees, ect.)
8) After closing, what further advice will you be providing me? (Personally, we manage our clients' mortgages and keep them in the loop as we identify opportunities in the market as well as keep them informed on a weekly basis though our morket update.)
As a prospective mortgage client, do your homework and make sure that you are working with a reputable mortgage provider who will provide you with unbiased information and will structure a mortgage that will achieve your short and long-term equity and payment objectives.

HIGH LEVELS OF 1.4-DIOXANE IN TIDE FREE & GENTLE

Women's Voices for the Earth
http://www.womensvoices.org/

Test results in a recent report, "Dirty Secrets", revealed high levels of a cancer-causing chemical called 1.4-dioxane hiding out in "Tide Free & Gentle®."
What’s most appalling is that Tide Free & Gentle® is being marketed to moms as a healthier choice for their children’s laundry. Yet infants and children are more vulnerable to chemical ...exposures because their immune, neurological and hormone systems are still developing.

If you want a laundry detergent that is safe for the entire family to use one that contains NO Phosphates, NO Fillers, NO Ammonia, NO Alkalines, NON Caustic and as gentle as tap water on your clothes, will definately clean your clothes AND is 6x concentrated then MelaPower is what you should be using We also have a bleach replacement, fabric softener and pre-spot that are also dioxane free and other household cleaning products.
Message me for information.

HOSTESS COACHING 101

TIPS FOR HAVING A SUCCESSFUL HOME PARTY

#1     Pick a rep that you can rely on, ask her how many parties has she done before and what is her sales rate?   If she is new she should be bringing her upline.
#2      If the party is booked 3 weeks in advance someone should have been getting in touch with you 2 weeks before to find out
--what area do you have in your home that is suitable to display products, catalogues and other material
--do you have a table available,
----how much space is needed to comfortably display everything
----is there enough room in that space for everyone to be seated comfortable. You might have to move a few chairs or the tv.to accomodate everyone and this can be done ahead of time.
#3     Do you need to provide a mirror or a separate area for people to try on clothes or will everyone be running off to your bathroom?

#4     Do you need to supply any type of table covering or does the rep bring one
#5    Is the rep going to bring pens/pencils, catalogues, order forms or are you expected to provide these?
#6   The rep should be asking how many people are confirmed
----how many other people were interested but couldn't make it to reschedule
--- do you have outside orders
#7    The rep should then call you one week before to see if you have any questions and reminding you to call everyone again and then she should be calling again a couple of days before the party date to remind you to call everyone again to confirm they are definately coming and the time to arrive.
#8     If there are pets please put them in another room/basement

#9     Make sure children are either in bed or someone (their father) is putting them to bed not you.
#10    Any questions, drinks of water etc. requested by children should be handled by someone else not you
#11    Don't let children and husbands interrupt the party, have the conversation with everyone who lives in the home a few days before about being polite and getting all their questions that need to be answered by you before the guests arrive.
#12   Don't answer the  phone and turn off your cell and have everyone else turn theirs off once you start the meeting/party.
#13    If you are serving food and drinks don't make it too elabrate and don't put it out until after the presentation as people will be getting up all the time to replenish their plates and then the meeting ends up in the kitchen.
#14
Will the rep need a DVD player and do you know how to use yours?
#15   What arrangements are there for the products to be delivered and how do they come? to the hostess's house or are the products shipped directly to the guests houses?
#16   How is payment made? cash, cheque, credit card? a combination of all three?

If you set up the party and keep it professional but fun you will have a successful party that people will remember amd want to emulate. This may seem like a lot but it is mostly common sense but if you haven';t had a party  for a long time or never had one then these are good reminders.

TAX WRITE OFFS FOR SELF EMPLOYED

One of the questions most often asked by the self-employed concerns what to deduct as far as home expenses as well as business expenses. The T2125 form shows all of that. This link should take you right to the form. Page 2 lists actual business expenses. Page 3 deals with home expenses. Page 4 is for Capital Cost Allowances. Page 5 lists motor vehicle expenses. Even if you don't prepare your own taxes, this is a good place to look for information.

CHEMICAL SENSITIVITY in MAINSTREAM MEDICAL DOCUMENTATION

Check out this website it takes about the 80 CHEMICALS that are in FEBREZE.  Why would anyone want to use it in your home?  Quite a few of these chemicals cause asthma, allergies, respiratory problems etc.

Read the report and then message me and I will show you what I use. I use a non toxic spray that eliminates the odours not masks them as almost all of the other products from the grocery store do.

GOALS

1.Make sure the goal you are working for is something you really want
Want a cool job in a field you love where you aren’t going to dread going each morning?  Want to be healthy?  Want to have a good family life at home?
When you are setting goals it is very important to remember that your goals must be consistent with your values.

2. A goal can not contradict any of your other goals
For example, you can’t buy a $750,000 house if your income goal is only $50,000 per year. This is called non-integrated thinking and will sabotage all of the hard work you put into your goals. You should strive to eliminate contradictory ideas from our thinking.

3. Develop goals in the 6 areas of life:
Family and Home
Financial and Career
Spiritual and Ethical
Physical and Health
Social and Cultural
Mental and Educational

Setting goals in each area of life will ensure a more balanced life. Setting goals in each area of live also helps in eliminating the non-integrated thinking we talked about in the 2nd step.

4. Write your goal in the positive instead of the negative
Work for what you want, not for what you want to leave behind. Part of the reason why we write down and examine our goals is to create a set of instructions for our subconscious mind to carry out. Your subconscious mind is a very efficient tool, it can not determine right from wrong and it does not judge. It’s only function is to carry out its instructions. The more positive instructions you give it, the more positive results you will get.
Thinking positively in everyday life will also help in your growth as a human being. Don’t limit it to goal setting.

5.Write your goal out in complete detail.
Instead of writing “A new home,” write “A 3,000 square foot modern with 4 bedrooms and 3 baths backing on to a park.”  Get as detailed as you can.  By doing this, you are providing the subconscious mind with detailed instructions which will lead to a more precise outcome.
Not sure how to do this?  Close your eyes and visualize your dream home, dream car, dream job, dream vacation etc.  Instead of just “seeing” it, experience it.  What does it feel like sitting on the beach in Hawaii?  How does your new BMW smell when you get in it for a drive?  How do the flowers in your landscaped backyard smell?  If you can see it, so can your subconscious mind.

6. By all means, make sure your goal is high enough.
Shoot for the moon, if you miss you’ll still be in the stars. Never short change yourself.  If you don’t deserve the things you dream about, who does?

7. This is the most important, write down your goals.
Writing down your goals creates the roadmap to your success. Although just the act of writing them down can set the process in motion, it is also extremely important to review your goals frequently. Remember, the more focused you are on your goals the more likely you are to accomplish them.
Ok, so you written your goals down, now what?
My advice would be to keep them to yourself first and foremost.  The negative perspectives of your friends and family can be a hinderance on you and make it harder for you to focus positive energy on your goals.

8.Next key step is to review your goals on a daily basis.  Make it part of your daily routine.  For me, I read my goals as soon as I wake up in the morning and just before I go to sleep at night.  These are the times that work for me, figure out what is going to work for you.  When I read each goal, I usually spend a minute or so imagining that goal (what is feels like, smells like, tastes like etc.).
Every time you make a decision during the day, ask yourself this question, “Does it take me closer to, or further from my goal.” If the answer is “closer to,” then you’ve made the right decision. If the answer is “further from,” well, you know what to do.
If you follow this process everyday you will be on your way to achieving unlimited success in every aspect of your life.
